Local Transport: Public transport in India comprises railway and bus services run by the government and domestic air services offered by government as well as private players. Bus services are also largely offered by private operators. Taxis can be hired for commuting within cities as well as for inter-city travel. Most towns and cities have auto rickshaws and cycle rickshaws or three wheelers which can be hired after negotiating fare as most don’t have meters in working condition.
