Although the city bustles until 9 pm, the markets open, people all around, there isn't a culture of 'nightlife' in Udaipur. Many beer bars lie peppered across the city though and some of the rooftop restaurants serve liquor as well. Or you can head towards the luxurious restaurants such as the Sunset View Terrace at the City Palace and enjoy their extensive wine list with live music. Shikarbadi, the former hunting lodge of the Maharaja, is another atmospheric location with its deer park and grounds surrounded by the Aravalis. Watch peacocks and deer roam and enjoy a 'chhota peg' at sundown. Or you can simply enjoy a drink at the terrace of the hotel you are staying at; if you have a lake view, the ambience is perfect.
