Air: Udaipur is connected by air with all major cities across India, serviced by most major airlines, budget and otherwise. The Dabok airport is about 20 km east of the city centre, a drive approximately 45 minutes long.
Rail: Until 2006 Udaipur was not connected with Delhi, the nearest big city outside Rajasthan. But since 2006, the Mewar Express, has started running from Delhis Nizamuddin Station to Udaipur, making the journey convenient and comfortable, covered overnight. The train departs at 7 pm and reaches Udaipur at 7 am the next morning.
If coming from Jaipur, you can take the Udaipur-Jaipur super Fast Express from that eaves Jaipur at 10 pm and reaches Udaipur at 7:30 am.

Road: You can drive to Jaipur from Delhi on NH 8, a 5 6 hour drive, stay overnight and continue to Udaipur the next day, on NH 8, a drive of about 10 - 11 hours.
