Singaporean's have a passion for food - it's a delicious account of a country's unique cultural tapestry. Food preparations that came to Singapore from India, China and other countries in the region may still bear the original names - but they are permanently being transformed into something, which probably sounds more Singaporean! What with variety being the spice of life, food from India especially that of the north is extremely popular, as is a wide range of Chinese cuisine from Hokkien to Teochew. Malay food, especially the satay and the vegetables, fish, beef or prawns blended in coconut milk are especially popular. Finish this off with Singapore's Kopi (coffee) and teh (tea)!
