Given its large population of young students who are always in the mood to party, Pune has no dearth of nightclubs and pubs. Alcohol is cheaper than most metros here and the variety in terms of music and decor at the clubs is quite diverse.
Visit the Sheesha Cafe at Koregaon Park for its ambience. With a Lebanese theme, the seating is on low beds and the walls are all bamboo. Before binging on the alcohol, do start the evening with Iranian tea served with dates! Kiwa's near Bhosle Nagar and Thousand Oaks (popularly knows as T Oaks), near MG Road are good for rock music, especially the new, spacious Kiwa's at Koregaon Park. Jazz by the Bay has live music; you can visit Fire and Ice for dancing - it is a spacious discotheque where you can dance while not getting trampled on your toes. Some other popular night clubs include High Spirits, Pancard Club and Area 51, which happens to be the hippest address of the city as of now, with the entry fee ranging from Rs. 1,000 - Rs. 1,500.
