Air: Khajuraho has an airport, serviceed by major airlines and linked with Delhi (via Agra), Agra, Varanasi and Kathmandu. The airport is only 5 km from the town and a taxi will charge you Rs. 100.
Rail: Finally, after years of waiting, Khajuraho is directly linked to Delhi by a train that started operating in Feb 2009. The Khajuraho Link Express connects Delhi to Khajuraho and runs three times a week from each destination. It departs Hazrat Nizamuddin in New Delhi at 21:35 hours on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday while it departs from Khajuraho on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 18:15 hours. An overnight train each way, it is combined with the UP Sampark Kranti Express till Mahoba, 60 km from Khajuraho. Another major railhead in the area is Satna, 117 km away.
Road: Khajuraho is connected by regular and direct bus services with Chhatarpur, Mahoba, Harpalpur, Satna, Panna, Jhansi, Gwalior, Agra, Sagar, Jabalpur, Indore, Bhopal, Varanasi and Allahabad.
