Dharamshala is a place where you walking around gives you the maximum mileage to explore the town. To commute between Lower Dharamshala and McLeodganj, you can hire an auto rickshaw (Rs. 70, one way), board a shared jeep (Rs. 5 per person) or a local bus (Rs. 2 per person). For sightseeing you can hire a taxi from the Taxi Stand at the main McLeodganj Chowk. Expect to pay Rs. 1000 to Rs. 1200 for a day.
