Just 10 kilometres from the town, the tranquil ashram situated on the banks of Bindu Saras, has a nine metre high image of Hanuman, a Ram temple, a meditation hall, a school and a health and recreation centre.
Kareri Lake
22 kilometres from Dharamshala and at a height of 3250 metres, the lake is surrounded by green open meadows and forests of tall oak and pine.
The Shrine of Bhagsunath
11 kilometres from the town centre of Dharamshala is the ancient temple of Bhagsunath. A walk further up leads you to a waterfall where there is a small shop from where you can but coffee, cold drinks, and quick bites as you relax.
Tatwani and Machhrial
There are hot springs situated at Tatwani, 25 kilometres from Dharamshala but on the way, at Machhrial, is a waterfall twice as big as the one near the Bhagsunath temple.
