Air: The nearest airport Gaggla is just 13 kilometres away from the town. Dharamshala can also be reached from Delhi.
Rail: Pathankot, 85 kilometres, away is the nearest railhead for Dharamshala and it takes a three-hour drive up the mountains to reach the town. The journey can be covered in the overnight Jammu Mail that runs between the New Delhi Railway Station of Pathankot, a comfortable option.
Road: Bus services are available from Manali to Dharamshala. Also, one can drive from Delhi via Chandigarh, Kiratpur and Bilaspur. Please keep in mind that this is a nine hour drive at the least, and can be tiring. From Delhi and Shimla, luxury buses ply to Dharamshala regularly.
