Station Details Shimla railway station is the main rail head of the hill resort. The railway station is under the administrative control of the Northern Railways. Shimla railway station is connected by a narrow gauge railway line to Kalka (90 kms). The toy trains run on the Shimla Kalka railway line. A journey on the toy train is a thrilling experience and en-route travelers get a wonderful chance to enjoy the breathtaking scenery around. Shivalik Express and Shimla Mail are two main trains running between Shimla and Kalka. Shimla Bus stand is just a few minutes walk from the railway station.
