Overview
Dehradun is the capital city of north
Indian state of Uttaranchal. Situated in the Doon
valley, at the foothills of Himalayas, Dehradun

station situated just 2 km away
from the city centre. The railway station is under
the administrative control of the Northern Railways.
Dehradun railway station is connected by express
trains with Delhi and other parts of North India. Shatabdi
Express, Jan Shatabdi Express, Mussoorie Expresss
and Dehradun express are some trains running between
Delhi and Dehradun. The Inter State Bus Terminal
(ISBT) is located at a short distance from the
railway station. Just one km from the railway station
is the old bus terminal and main taxi stand. For
accommodation, hotels are available at a short
distance from the railway station.
