With one of the best and lenient baggage rules, Turkish Airlines baggage allowance policies vary for different class of travel. The policy allows guests to check-in 60 kg in First Class (and 40 kg for passengers travelling via Star Alliance member airlines), 30 kg in Business Class, 20 kg in Economy Class, and Infants within the age group of 0-2 years are eligible to carry to 10 kg + 1 fully collapsible baby stroller (maximum dimensions 115 cm).

History about Turkish Airlines

Turkish Airlines was established on 20th May, 1933 as State Airlines Administration, as part of the Ministry of Defense. In 1935, the administration was handed to Ministry of Public works and the airlines name was changed to "General Directorate of State Airlines" in 1938 and moved under Ministry of Transportation. In the year 1945 DC-3 joined the fleet of Turkish Airlines.
