Swiss International Airlines
Swiss International Airlines (LX) is an important airline of Switzerland and operates scheduled services to Europe, Asia, Africa, North America and South America. The airline is often referred to by the name, 'Swiss'. The main hub of the airline is at Zurich Airport, Kloten, Switzerland. The airline evolved after the bankruptcy of Swissair in year 2001, Switzerland's former national carrier. Swiss International Airlines is a subsidiary of German airline Lufthansa, the headquarters of which is located at EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg, near Basel, in Switzerland. The registered office of the airline is also in Basel.
Swiss International Airlines Baggage Allowance
Swiss International Airlines Baggage policy does allow passengers to carry some amount of baggage free of charge. The baggage allowance depends on the destination you are flying to. For SWISS First passenger free baggage allowance is 40 kilograms, for SWISS Business it is 20 kilograms, and for SWISS Economy it is 20 kilograms. For Children less than two years of age, free baggage allowance is 1 piece of baggage, with a maximum weight of 10 kilograms, and one folding pushchair.

In Asia the destinations served are China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Maldives, Singapore and Thailand. In North America the countries served are Canada, Mexico and USA, and in South America the countries served are Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba and the Dominican Republic.
