Seoul India Lufthansa Airlines
Founded in 1926 in Berlin, following a merger between 'Deutsche Aero Lloyd' (DAL) and 'Junkers Luftverkehr', Lufthansa's original name was Deutsche Luft Hansa Aktiengesellschaft. The word 'Lufthansa' was adopted in 1933.Lufthansa fought the World War II in 1939, but was suspended following the defeat of Germany in 1945. Lufthansa, as a new entity was recreated on 6 January 1953 as Aktiengesellschaft f?r Luftverkehrsbedarf (Luftag) and was renamed Deutsche Lufthansa Aktiengesellschaft on August 6, 1954. On 1st April, 1955, Lufthansa resumed scheduled service within Germany, while international operations started on 15 May 1955, with flights to destinations in Europe, followed by service to New York. South Atlantic routes were resumed in August 1956. Today, Lufthansa Airlines is Europe's largest airline and also the flag carrier of Germany. The name of the company is derived from Luft (the German word for ""air""), and Hansa (after Hanseatic League, the powerful medieval trading group).
