Royal Nepal Airlines Logo Formerly known by the name Royal Nepal Airlines, Nepal Airlines (RA) is the state airline of Nepal. The main base of the airline is at the Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu. Since the mountainous terrain of Nepal could not be easily accessed by road or rail, the introduction of Nepal Airlines gave a kick to its tourism sector. Today, Nepal Airlines operates services to 39 destinations across the globe.

Royal Nepal Airlines Baggage Allowance

The weight allowance for the Economy Class passengers of Nepal Airlines is 30 kgs for all destinations except Hong Kong, for which it is 25 kgs. Business class passengers can enjoy the privilege of an extra 10 kgs of baggage allowance.

One piece of hand baggage is allowed for each passenger, except infants, and it can be conveniently placed in the closed rack or under the seat in front, free of charge. For security and safety regulations, it must not exceed 15 lbs and must not be larger than 50.8x38.1x25.4cm.

Offering scheduled flight service to 39 destinations which includes 7 international destinations, Nepal Airlines is doing a commendable job. Some of the important destinations covered by Nepal Airlines are Bajhang, Bajura, Bhojpur, Biratnagar, Chaurijhar, Dolpa, Jomsom, Jumla, Kangeldanda, Kathmandu, Khanidanda, Lamidanda, Lukla, Manang, Nepalgunj, Pokhara, Phaplu, Rukumkot, Rumjatar Airport, Simikot, Talcha, Taplejung, Thamkarka and Tumlingtar. International routes include Hong Kong, Delhi, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Doha and Dubai.

Royal Nepal Airlines Fleet

The fleet size of Nepal Airlines is 7, which consists of two Boeing 757-200 and five de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter aircrafts. With plans to expand its fleet, the airline has also placed an order for 2 Xian MA60 aircrafts.
