About Malta International Plc MLA Airport, Malta

The Malta International Airport (MLA) is the only airport in the island country of Malta, and serves the entire Maltese Archipelago. Located 8 km from the Maltese capital of Valletta between the towns of Luqa and Gudja, it is built on the site of the RAF Luqa airport, and is still unofficially referred to as the Luqa Airport. It is also sometimes called the Valletta Airport. The Malta International Airport became fully operational in 1992, and is the main hub of Air Malta, as well as the host of the annual Malta Airshow. Malta International Airport is served by over 25 airlines, connecting it with more than 30 destinations worldwide.
