Garuda Indonesia Airlines
Garuda Indonesia Airlines (GA) is the national airline of Indonesia. The airline has been named after the mystical bird Garuda which has its mention in Hindu and Buddhist mythology. Garuda Indonesia Airlines has its headquarters located at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, near Jakarta (the capital of Indonesia). Most of the shares of Garuda Indonesia Airlines are owned by the government of Indonesia. Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is the main hub of the airline, and it also has a hub at Ngurah Rai International Airport, in Bali. As of December, 2010, about 5,807 people work for Garuda Indonesia Airlines.
Garuda Indonesia Airlines Baggage Allowance
The Baggage Allowance regulation of Garuda Indonesia gives 30 kilograms of free luggage allowance for Executive Class passengers, and 20 kilograms allowance for Economy Class passengers. The airline also allows free carry-on items, which must fit in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of the passenger.
