Garuda Indonesia Airlines Baggage Allowance

The Baggage Allowance regulation of Garuda Indonesia gives 30 kilograms of free luggage allowance for Executive Class passengers, and 20 kilograms allowance for Economy Class passengers. The airline also allows free carry-on items, which must fit in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of the passenger.

History about Garuda Indonesia Airlines

The history of Garuda Indonesia Airlines is very closely connected to the history of the nation, and their struggle for independence. The airline first started in the year 1949 and has been in business for more than 60 years. January 26th, 1949 is recognized as Garuda Indonesia Airlines founding date. The first aircraft was DC-3 and was bought for a sum of 120,000 Malayan dollars. In the 1960s the airline grew significantly, and the fleet in 1960 comprised of 8 Convair 240s, 8 Convair 440s, and 8 Convair 340s. In 1970 to 1980, the airline introduced new airlines in its fleet, such as Fokker F28 and McDonnell Douglas DC-9 jets. As the national flag carrier, Garuda Indonesia Airlines stood by the country throughout the times of change, providing safe, reliable, and comfortable air transport services.
