China Eastern Airlines has been honoured with International Air Transport Association’s Annual Laureate Award and the 10-Year Cordial Service Award. The airline was also named the official carrier of the Shanghai World Expo in the year 2010.

China Eastern Airlines (MU) was established on June 25th, 1988. In 2003, China Northwest Airlines and China Yunnan Airlines merged into China Eastern Airlines. China Eastern Airline became a part of SkyTeam on April 16th, 2010.
