Bangkok Airways

Bangkok Airways Logo Bangkok Airways (PG) is a regional airline based in Chatuchak District, in Bangkok, Thailand. The airline operates scheduled services to destinations in Thailand, China, Cambodia, Maldives, Laos, India, Burma, and Singapore. The airline has its main base at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok.

Bangkok Airways Baggage Allowance

The baggage Allowance policy of Bangkok Airways provides for free checked in baggage allowance of 20 kilograms  for adults and 10 kilograms for infants in Economy Class, and 30 kilograms for adults and 10 kilograms for infants in Blue Ribbon Class (Business Class). Any baggage exceeding the weight allowance limit is subject to charge. For unchecked baggage, one item of baggage for adults and children (except infants) is allowed.

Bangkok Airways Destination & Services

As of December, 2010, Bangkok Airways was serving 15 destinations, which include Dhaka in Bangladesh, Yangon in Burma, Phnom Penh and Siem Reap in Cambodia, Hong Kong and Guilin in People’s Republic of China, Mumbai in India, Luang Prabang in Laos, Malé in Maldives, Singapore, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Ko Samui, Krabi, Lampang, Phuket, Pattaya, Sukhothai and Trat in Thailand.

Bangkok Airways Fleet

Currently, the fleet of Bangkok Airways comprises of eight ATR 72-500, six Airbus 319, and three Airbus 320 aircrafts. Each of the aircraft in the fleet is decorated in different liveries of various exotic destinations.

Bangkok Airways has been honoured with UK’s “Travel Agents Choice Awards” at World Travel Market, held in London in the year 2010.
