Air China Logo Air China (CA), one of the major airlines of People's Republic of China, has its base at the Beijing Capital International Airport. Considered the world's biggest airline in terms of market capitalisation, China Air takes the entire responsibility of all exclusive flight tasks of the Chinese national leaders visiting abroad. Air China Baggage Allowance

The Baggage Allowance policy of China Air clearly says that any kind of unchecked baggage must fit in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of passenger. For First Class and Business Class travellers, the weight of unchecked baggage must not be in excess of 8 kilograms per passenger. For Economy Class, the unchecked luggage allowance is 5 kilograms per passenger. Two pieces of unchecked baggage is allowed with First and Business Class, and one piece of unchecked baggage is allowed with Economy Class. The dimension specification is 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm (l x b x h).

Free-checked in baggage allowance for all domestic and international flights, excluding US, Canada, and Brazil routes, allow passengers to carry 20 kilograms of baggage for each passenger in Economy Class, 30 kilograms in First Class and 40 kilograms in First Class. The baggage policy for flights between Canada and Brazil, as well as China and USA, varies and passenger must check with the travel agents before boarding the flight.

With its fleet of 263 Boeing and Airbus aircrafts, Air China covers 185 destinations across the globe. However, after formally joining the Star Alliance on December 12th, 2007, Air China expanded its service to 897 destinations in 160 countries. The competent and modern fleet of Air China includes 33 Airbus A319-100, 14 Airbus A320-200, 28 Airbus A321-200, 16 Airbus A330-200, 5 Airbus A330-300, 6 Airbus A340-300, 27 Boeing 737-300, 20 Boeing 737-700, 77 Boeing 737-800, 4 Boeing 747-400, 5 Boeing 747-400M, 10 Boeing 757-200, 3 Boeing 767-300, 1 Boeing 767-300ER, and 10 Boeing 777-200 aircrafts.

Air China Awards & Recognition

In September, 2005, Air China got the award for the "Top Ten Most Favorable National Brands of China". Air China received an award for the "Best Frequent Flyer Program of the Year 2005" in the Readers' Choice Gold List activities organized by the National Geographic Traveler. On March 3rd, 2007, Air China received the honour of being the Best Airline in China in a competition for the most favoured airline.
