The food served in the hotel was just OK. DonÂ’t expect 5 star or 4 star comfort. Can be compared with a government run hotel.

The service was a bit not upto the mark - maybe because of "off season". Otherwise it's a good hotel on the whole.

Overall, the hotel and staff is good.

Location of the hotel is very good...but the food is damn costly...there was hardly any dish that I could order for dinner or lunch less than Rs.250! This hotel is more for visitors from abroad than upper middle class Indians. A meal for two could easily cost more than Rs.500 or 600...that's simply too much. I won't recommend this place for any budget traveller...but if you have that kind of money to shell out for food, well you can try this hotel. The staff is friendly as well.

Although they did not have the booking details, the staff was very courteous and arranged for a room imeediately, however, since the room was booked for 2 adults and 2 children, the room size seemed inadequate.

Although we got good service at the restaurant, the room service was not good. Apart from that, it is a cute place to stay.

Accommodation doesn't get more lavish than this! This palatial heritage hotel offers the most pleasant experience. Aesthetically decorated spacious rooms, antiques lined in corridors, stately images of royals staring down at you, wide open spaces...Woodville is a perfect retreat for anyone who wants to cut off from the chaos. I loved sitting in the flower strewn gardens and taking walks on the winding trails within the property. It's beautiful! It has a great location, in the VIP area of Shimla, away from the commercial chaos of the town. As for services, the staff members are very attentive. Food at the restaurants was really good but room service needs improvement. The cosy bar and lounge are ideal for an evening soiree. It's the perfect place that needs a little touch up in terms of facilities. Central heating would probably help though the room heater was good enough for March. Overall, highly recommended!
