WelcomHeritage Taragarh Palace is located in the beautiful Kangra Valley in Himachal Pradesh. The heritage resort is approximately 45 km from Dharamshala, 53 km from Kangra Airport, and 125 km from Pathankot.

Formerly known as Alhilal (land of the crescent moon), Taragarh Palace, was built in the early 1930s as a summer resort. It was bought by the royal family of Jammu & Kashmir in 1951 for the dowager Maharani who lived there for several years. It is now run as a hotel by the present royal family.

The hotel offers 26 elegantly-appointed air-conditioned rooms and suites. 3 categories are available: Heritage Room, Superior Deluxe Room, and Suite Room. In-room amenities include a telephone, cable television, tea/coffee maker, and attached bathroom with modern fittings and hot/cold water.
