The staff is ok, it depends. The room was unclean - I know there are cockroaches in India, but this room was very unclean, with dust, spider webs, and the dirty washroom. The power cuts are frequent. The restaurant is ok.

We visited the hotel on 9th May, which is Tagore's birthday and it was supposed to be crowded. But still we found the hotel rate to be cheap and we had a very peaceful stay. The room was clean, Rs. 600/- per room was absolutely reasonable. Shantiniketan campus was walking distance from the hotel. The names of the room, e.g., Punascha, Bithika etc. resonated Tagore's mystical words. The staff members of the hotel were genuinely helpful. Looking forward to visiting Shantiniketan once again.
