Villa Bomfim, Goa

Location
Ideally located, Villa Bomfim is off the main Baga road in North Goa. It is a short walk from Baga and Calangute beach, not to mention the popular bars and restaurants. It is 48 kms from the airport and 15 kms from Panjim city.

Villa Bomfim is an old Portuguese house dating back to the 1930s that has been converted to a homely guesthouse. Run by the 'de Souza' family who live in the main house of the grounds, the property houses 35 Standard rooms, of which three are Deluxe rooms.

The reception area is charming with a reception console and a lounge area with sofas and a television. One can find hints of the past with elaborately carved period furniture and accessories here and in the rooms.

Facilities and Services
Guest facilities at Villa Bomfim include a swimming pool, 24 hour room service during peak tourist season, beauty parlour, laundry service, money changing facility, safe deposit lockers at Rs. 25 per day and guest parking.

Room Amenities
The rooms surround the central pool area and all have attached balconies with garden chairs to sit out on. With twin or double beds, the rooms are individually air-conditioned but have a fan as well. Interiors include a dressing table with a full length mirror, two chairs and a coffee table, wardrobe and a knick knack shelf on the wall. The attached bathrooms are well lit with a shower area, soap and linen provided for.

Dining
The guesthouse also has a multi-cuisine restaurant with a bar called El Toro Pub & Restaurant. Although outdoor, it is partially covered and has a tree in the centre, which when lit up in the evening, sets the perfect mood for a meal.
