Van Vihar is a perfect getaway for peace seekers, especially people who want to go far away from the world! It is a place where you have no one to bother you, even your phone's won't work due to network problems. The hotel is surrounded with greenery and lake! The view looks like a place from Switzerland! Travelling to Van Vihar with a vehicle would be ideal since finding a rickshaw is tough. If you love walking around, this is the place to be in! Around the Hotel, you have boating services, speed boats and rowing boats which takes you to the other side of the river. Lion Safari and Deer park is close by. Its closed during the rains. I don't want to get back to my normal routine :(, but I have to out of compulsion! Its been a memorable stay at Van Vihar, more over cause it was surprise for my dad's birthday and he loves quite places and it struck him of the Swiss days!

Need to work on food, food and service is not satisfactory. Had lot of challenge reaching the place, no transportation available.

Good large rooms, good service and reasonably good food.
