Very nice hotel. Room overlooked the ocean. 20 meters to beach.

It was a family holiday at UDS. The trip was memorable with efficient staff, prompt service, good food and its central location. Even though there was a room tariff difference,the hotel management compensated the same by complimentary buffet dinners.

Hotel got one of the best location but the service is slow.

Hotel is very close to the kovalam beach.This beach is amazing to play and to take bath.However due to the huge number of rooms in the hotel makes it too crowded and has got major issue of maintenance.The staff are courteous and listen to you but the fixtures in the rooms like tv,ac and bathroom are old and needs servicing almost all the time.The television provided in the rooms were as old as doordarshan time and AC was stopping every now and then.Bath room fixtures were troublesome,flush wasnt working properly and then took 3 hours to repair the same.Breakfast was ok and food was good but too expensive.Overall it can noway match 4star hotels as they claim but a decent 3 star can be given.

The maintainance was very poor. When I got the room, the AC, shower, flush and the phone were not working.

The hotel had an excellent view of the sea, and superbly planned. Food in 4 of the restaurants (including room service) was excellent. Only housekeeping either does not have sufficient staff or do not care much for what they are doing. The room was not prepared to receive guests, no cups or glasses and leftover tea coffee pouches in the room on arrival. The extra bed was a mattress laid on the floor without pillow. We had taken a double room with triple occupancy. Only one towel was provided till we asked or rather demanded for more. Electric connection in the room was faulty; twice we had to call the technician because we did not have light in our room at the middle of the night while the entire resort was sleeping including the housekeeping department as no one was picking up the phone. The people at the reception came to our rescue.

It is highly worth and value for the money. The only thing is that they cannot claim they have a private Beach. This Beach can be enjoyed only in the evenings and it becomes Fishermen place in the morning completely.
