It was one amazing experience staying at the Zuri. The location was exotic and the vast expanse of greenery offers the guests ample oppurtunities to be in tune with nature.The experience of lying under the 'Fins' shack and watching the sun go down and listening to the waves was almost surreal. We saw the moon with a bright star and the scene was simply one out of the Arabian nights. I wonder how Zuri and its surroundings would be on full moon nights. I can only imagine that would be splendid what with the resort catering for romantic full moon night dinners in exclusive shacks during the season. The standards at the pool and the dining areas were exemplary. We had a splendid time at the Zuri and would like to come back during one of the full moon nights.

Hotel needs to make improvement upon service level. Though the staff is good, however, there are certain things which are missing, which one expects in a 5 star accommodation. It's the general feel which one should get in terms of prompt service with smile at such properties. Some more effort in training the staff should raise the satisfaction levels for customers.

Excellent hotel with spacious grounds, 2 large swimming pools and no "bad" rooms. I agree with other guests - TV reception is terrible and my A/C unit rattled - but minor problems. Local authority needs to do something about the wild dogs on the beach and their mess. Otherwise I thoroughly recommend the Zuri.

The accommodation was comfortable and the staff were friendly. the food is costly and the portions differ from the room service to the restaurant.

First, I found everything about Goa to be lacking in value. This was a gorgeous resort but as expensive as any four to five star resort I've stayed in anywhere. Expect to pay a minimum of $15 for lunches and $40 for dinners (values in U.S. dollars). I found the food to be good but no where near exceptional and would have ventured out for alternate dining locations had it not been exceedingly expensive for the car hire. Standard taxis are not permitted to pick you up, so expect to pay twice the rate. I paid 600Rs from the airport to the resort, and then was stuck paying 1100Rs for the ride back. I would only recommend this resort if you are the type of traveller who enjoys camping out in the resort your entire stay. Finally, I arrived at 14:00 and didn't get my room until after 17:00. No concessions were offered.

The housekeeping standard is not commensurating five star. Food prepration in not good also expensive.

The staff in the hotel are excellent, courteous & helpful resulting in the services of the hotel receiving a rating of 5. We were a bit disappointed that the room did not have the 'advertised' bath tub. Minor items not working, e.g., TV remote, 'clean my room', resulted in a couple of 4. In terms of value for money, this hotel is extremely pricey! Goa is renowned for its good and affordable food & drink. But everything in this hotel is priced 4 times what it would be outside. At that price, you don't need to come to Goa if you love food and drink. The location is good, as in, it's near to the beach, has a great pool and is overall quite a great place. If you leave the resort, then there isn't much available outside the resort. We had our own car and weren't quite stranded. 10 minute to the Varca village. Madgaon is 30 minutes away. We would recommend this only if you have your own transportation and are willing to go out to search.

Hotel ratings are based on hospitality and not just based on size of property. Hotel has huge property but limited to a coffee bar/restaurant. There are no other restaurants near by and location is such that for going anywhere you need a taxi. Taxi prices are double the normal prices. There is taxi cartel outside hotel which charges twice if you are staying at Zuri. going for 10 km will cost Rs.750. Each hotel staff has different idea/views on each service. Not worth it for a 5 star hotel.

This was our first visit to the Zuri White Sands. I would rate this hotel as very bad for the following reasons (1) Air conditioning was bad where temperature. (2) The pool was closed and the alternative pool was too deep for kids. (3) Kids activity centre and activity calendar is a joke. The Calendar is there but nobody is around at the appointed hour. (4) The disco was closed for a private function on Saturday night! (5) Massage was not available at the spa if prior appointment is not taken 24 hours in advance (6) Room and bathrooms were not very clean. (7) Lunch and dinner buffet had only Indian non-vegetarian stuff and no continental non-vegetarian on the menu. (8) At check-in, the reception staffs accost you and try to tell you what is not available in the package as if we were going to demand something unreasonable. Some sensitivity would have been appreciated.
