Staying at The Sol was a great experience. The hotel is neither so large that you are lost in a sea of guests; nor is it so small that your privacy is hampered. The Sol strikes the ideal balance between privacy and personal attention. Staff at the hotel are friendly and gives useful tips and suggestions about sightseeing in Goa. They are always there to help out, and are yet not overbearing. In terms of design and ambiance, everything from the entrance to the dining area and the rooms to the spa are classy and luxurious. Rooms are always kept clean and well maintained. Even if you do not hang a 'Clean my room' sign, you are likely to return to a freshly made bed after a long, hot day of sightseeing. The food at The Sol is also quite good. However, the hotel could expand its menu a little and arrange for more outdoor activities. On the whole, The Sol gets a big thumbs up.If you're looking for a luxury hotel that is different from the typical 'corporate'-style hotel, this is it.
