The resorts looked pretty decent with a nice view from the balcony.Cooperative staff.Restaurant was small.

The only drawback is the food.Getting Lunch at the resort is a fight as they normally don't serve lunch.Limited choices at breakfast.

For those who want to be away from the dust and din of the town, this is a good place. Some disadvantages - make sure you don't end up with rooms near 201 and 202, you get the smell of kerosene smoke from the neighbour's chimneys.

The worst place to be! I had to check out immediately as the place was not in a livable condition! The following are the points which make this place the worst place to stay in Munnar:- 1) There is construction just adjacent to this property. Bang bang! Jolts through the day with loud noise. 2) No one at the reception. I had to find someone to do the check-in. He was busy cooking in a small nearby room. 3) No water was there when we entered the room. 4) No restaurant but the menu card was a big one. When asked about what was available; just sandwiches! 5) There is no one in the place to give you service of any kind. 6) The location is like you are watching a garbage dump! Dirty sewage water flowing everywhere. Can't stand the smell. 7) Very difficult to park a vehicle. just two cars can accommodate. 8) Looks like a home-stay which is badly managed for which you pay a price of a good hotel.

Overall negative experiences with the hotel. Overpriced for the provided accomodation/services. The room is very spacious and the view nice, but the hotel is located next to a construction yard and at the sides of a dirty village. 5 km away from Munnar. The bathroom consisted of the usual amenities but was poor in hygiene, missing toilet paper and limited availability of hot water.

Good place to stay, silent area, excellent natural beauty. Afternoon lunch has to be taken outside. Taste of food is very good, cost of food is little higher.

It was a good hotel. Good location, good services. Worth money to spend.

We were 4 people and stayed at Shamrock for 2 nights. The hotel condition was very bad. The rooms were not very clean. When I got into my room there was leech inside and it bit me. I was bleeding for a while. However, the beds and bathroom were kept really clean. The resort did not have any facility other than accommodation. I had taken my parents with me to Munnar and expected some good facilities like Spa, Ayurvedic Treatment etc. But this resort did not have anything. The food was very bad. We stayed in Deluxe room and the view from my room was really good. It was hill facing and the valleys were looking pretty in the morning. I will definitely not go for this resort again next time when I visit Munnar and for all people who are planning to go to Munnar and searching for a resort/hotel please stay away from Shamrock is certainly not the right place.
