OK. But, the Hotel charged me 5.15% Tax extra on R/Tariff. I did not understand why they charged me the extra Tax.

More or less it was okay. The bathroom space should be more.

When a customer reaches hotel all the way from airport at night and refused of accomodation...how does one feel?

Rooms are well maitained, food is good and location is very convenient.

Entire staff was arrogant and ill-mannered, the services have deteriorated although they are trying their best to improve on interiors. Unless the staff behaves themselves,it's not worth staying in this hotel.

The room is fine, the bathroom a little shabby, at times the water (bath) takes time to run. Location is great, not too far from the main sights and near to Ballygunge-area where a lot of cultural activities take place. The staff tried their best but could have been more efficient (e. g. when explaining ways around the hotel). Breakfast was good.

I have stayed at several budget hotels in Kolkata over the past few months. I am a Westerner and should first of all warn others to lower their expectations a little for hotels in general compared to the US hotels for example. But, for Kolkata, this hotel was fairly good but not really anything you couldn't get elsewhere for a better price. The location was too far from the metro but not too far from shopping centers. There is a bit of street noise but that is part of the low budget experience. Room service was good and affordable. It had everything a budget hotel should have.

Room was congested. Food was not palatable. I had to go out to the nearby restaurant to make up for the food. Air conditioner remote was not available and it could be only switched on or off. Staff was hospitable.

Overall very utilitarian facilities. Very suitable for business travellers
