Good hotel overall...

A very good hotel with very good service right from the reception to the service boy. Great value for money. The rooms are kept very neat & services were very fast. The location also is very good. Even the doormen were of great help directing us to the good shops & indicating the taxi fare.Overall one of the best hotels I came across this year.

It is best located property in town, good for business travelers as well as for tourists. It has very reasonable tariff. Better word is value for money.

It was a great hotel. This was my second visit to Peerless Inn Kolkata. I had stayed there last year too in the month of March. But this time it was in April. I must acknowledge that the service has been great compared to last time. I had informed the hotel for an early check-in prior to my visit which was confirmed, but on arrival same was not offered. Reached the hotel at 10.45 a.m. but was told that the room is not ready by the front desk staff and was made to seat in the lobby. Later the room was offered at around 11.55 a.m. I had booked for a Superior Room. Food is good. Right from the sumptous breakfast spread including their inroom Dining. Since I visited lot of my relatives in Kolkata, hence most of my meals were outside. Loved the hotel facilities and if i have to visit kolkata again, i would definitely stay at Peerless Inn. Thank the Humble Staff and loved their hospitality.

The hotel is located just off a busy road and market area. The decor of the hotel is very old fashioned. The room was had bad odour when I entered and had to get air-freshner. The carpet had stains. The good thing was the staff service and the size of the room.

Vaue for Money. Good Stay

I booked two rooms and accordingly paid. But, on arrival they charge for two extra beds on the plea that in one room only one adult was mentioned. When I paid for two rooms whether I am not elegible to occupy four beds or not. We were five with two children of 12 & 13 yrs. Why they chrge for two beds is not understood.

Although the hotel room was alright, the senior management is atrocious. They are extremely unprofessional, and lack even basic communication with their subordinates to ensure comfort of the guests. I have nothing against the staff lower down, but was extremely frustrated by the attitude of the Duty Managers - and their complete ignorance of the basics of the hospitality industry. This premises is not worth the six thousand rupees a night tariff. Avoid if you can.
