It is very good.

Everything was perfect. The only reserve is the restaurant with a medium/low value for money.

Worst ever.

My two days at this hotel was the best hotel experience I have ever had. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. The "no tipping" policy was a complete surprise for India. Dinner at one of the restaurants was pricey but marvellous! The hotel is located on one of Kolkata's busiest streets yet sitting by the wonderful pool at night was noise free. This hotel is a classic in style, comfort and decor and I would recommend it to anyone without reservation.

One of the nicest hotel rooms I've ever been in. The staff was incredibly kind and courteous without being overbearing. And the restaurant and pool were very relaxing.

Very expensive. Low value for money. For as much as Rs. 7000 a night, one gets a world of luxury in hotels elsewhere in the world. I have lived and stayed all over the world in various hotels. At best, IÂ’d say the ideal price for the room in Oberoi in Kolkata should be not more than Rs. 5000 a night. Otherwise everything else is cool. Standard 5 star hotel services etc.

The Oberoi Grand is an institution. I seldom go to Calcutta but whenever I do, I make it a point to stay at the Grand. I am happy to say that it still lives up to its reputation. The staff is efficient and courteous. The in-room dining is a bit slow but excellent. The room and bathroom are very well appointed, clean and attractive. There was a very minor hiccup when I checked in - the reception said the hotel had not received any advance payment although I had paid in advance to MakeMyTrip through my credit card. This was sorted out by one phone call I made to MakeMyTrip. The rest was smooth sailing. A word of caution, the hotel car hire service is hugely expensive. Airport drop is Rs 2500 when the room rate is just 9248!

It was joie de vivre, the stay at Oberoi in its untarnished setting and services. However just to ensure that 5 in services selection staff should be spoken to who kept giggling when I called up for an adaptor and the next day when told to ask the bell boy to pick up the packets from the room the word bell boy seemed to amuse them a lot. Surprising!!

Very impressed, especially by the staff - the best I have ever met. They really made an effort!
