The Oberoi Cecil, Shimla

Situated in Chaura Maidan, Shimla at a height of 7000 feet, The Oberoi Cecil is just 10 minutes' drive from the Shimla Railway Station and 45 minutes' drive from Jubbarhatti Airport. Flights from Delhi arrive daily (except Sunday).

The Oberoi Cecil is very much, a part of Shimla's colonial history. The hotel has been restored to its original grandeur with wood floors, period furniture, crackling fires and an inviting ambience. The Rooms are available in 4 categories, i.e.

Deluxe Rooms
Well-appointed with teak flooring and queen-size beds, these rooms offer a great view of the cedar garden and Shimla city.

Premier Rooms
Along with teak flooring and queen-size beds, these rooms also have a private balcony rendering beautiful views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks.

Deluxe Suites
In addition to all that a Premier Room has, these suites include a private living room with a closet and a large bed room.

Luxury Suite
Large private balconies of this one offer extensive views of the Himalayan slopes. Other facilities include a living room, separate dresser area, bathroom with separate shower cubicle and bath tub.

In addition to these facilities, all rooms come complete with amenities such as, TV & DVD player, satellite television, wired-broadband internet access, separate walk-in closet with electronic safe, direct dial telephone with voice mail, personal bar and 24-hour butler service.

Child Policy2 Children 8 yrs or less can stay in the parents room for free (1 extra bed will be provided in the same room)

The Restaurant and Bar options at the Cecil are as follows:

Cedar Garden
This is an outdoor restaurant offering a light menu of delectable snacks and drinks. Timings: 11 am to 3 pm.

The Tea Lounge and Bar
It makes a perfect place to enjoy a cup of tea or a drink besides a fireplace. Timings: 11 am to 11 pm.

The Restaurant
In addition to a selection of European, Asian and international dishes, the restaurant offers a delightful mix of Indian, Italian, Continental and Regional cuisines as well. The Restaurant opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

In addition to these choices, you'll be able to avail all day dining.

Spa
The Spa offers an extensive menu of relaxing and reviving massages and beauty treatments. Aromatherapy, Ayurvedic, Balinese, Hawaiian and Thai massage all feature, along with Chakra Head and Shoulder Massage and facials. As well as the spa therapy suites, the Spa offers steam rooms and saunas. This is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day in the mountains - or in the boardroom. The Gymnasium, located at the level below the Pool, is free to guests.

Conference and Banquets
The Cecil, remote and peaceful in a spectacular setting, is an ideal venue for conferences and meetings. The Kipling Room (seats up to 40), The Curzon Room (up to 20) and The Inner Section (up to 140) .The seating in all three rooms can be arranged in a variety of configurations to suit your business needs. All offer 21st century facilities with all the latest communications and audio-visual equipment available for hire by the day.

Meeting facilities offered at the hotel include LCD projector with screen, overhead projector, slide projector, table microphone, music system, laptop, cordless microphone.
