The building, bathroom, furniture were quite old; bed was squeaky. Location and view from the hotel were great. Outside landscaping was great. Hotel's restaurant's food was also not good value for money.

The Gateway Hotel is a perfect destination to unwind. The sprawling property set atop a hill is set in a calm and quiet surrounding. The hotel is very well laid out and the rooms are huge and well done up. The staff live up to the famed Taj hospitality. The experience will make us come again.

This was the 1st time I stayed here and the location of the hotel is awesome, you get a view of full city from the hotel as its situated on a hill top. Rooms are big and comfortable, hotel staffs are very very courteous, overall its going to be my 1st choice whenever I come to Madurai next.

1. Hotel is in excellent location and maintained very well. 2. Any kind of service be it room service, restaurant service, reception service - all are done very well. 3. All the employees are very humble, very helping and go out of their way to do anything you ask for.
