A very nice hotel in vijaywada. Highly recommended. The cost of their menu is on the higher side though.

The bed and bathroom are excellent. Breakfast should have been complimentary. Taxi for airport is being made available at substantially higher amount than the market rate.Tendency to make money out of everything should be avoided.

The bath room layout is not satisfactory. Water gets logged around commode and doesn't drain. This is the water from ablution faucet, mind you. There is no need for so many Hotel staff to enquire whether the guest is happy. Also it is artificial for so many people to greet the guest many times in a day.

For a 5 star it really didn't feel like a 5 Star. Taj needs to get some people down here to rework things. Constant noise of construction. No shampoo, had to ask for shampoo, soap and towels.

My stay in the hotel was quite Ok, not breathtaking. I felt standard of Taj had not been followed. They have no Sanitary Napkins (on day one and replaced next day) and MENU. Some suggestions - no water in kettle and only one Cup (in case you want second cup either you need to call or clean yourself). There was no Menu in the room and requested for the same. They have provided one litre water and no breakfast.

We had a terrific stay at the Gateway. The good things were: - The room maintenance was excellent. Their card swipe access control system was our first time. Room service every day did an extremely good job in keeping the room and the bathroom sparklingly clean. The roof top swimming pool is rarely used by its members and yet its amazingly clean and was a fun experience for both of us. People at the reception and the other bell boys were courteous too. The negative things were. - They do not provide drinking water from their aqua-guards. Aqua-fina bottles are provided at 1 litre per day complimentary. Above that its Rs 20/Litre. This could have been done away with. There arenÂ’t any buckets at least in the standard rooms' bathrooms. You have to always depend on the shower for a daily bath which is such a huge wastage of resources. Their telephone operator was rash in handling simple queries such as "Will complimentary breakfast be provided?" etc. Guests could be handled well than that. Overall, we were very pleased with the services offered in the Gateway. It was a pure show of the 'Taj' class. I will definitely recommend others to stay in this hotel. MakeMyTrip prices are usually cheaper than regular booking so I'd like more people to experience the Gateway using MakeMyTrip.

This is the first time I have stayed at this hotel though I visit Vijayawada frequently. It was always little costly. At the bargain MakeMyTrip price, however, this is one of the best properties anywhere in India. As an aesthetic experience it is an oasis of understated elegance in the garish over-the-topness of the rest of the city, including itÂ’s other so called "star-hotels". For me the most significant factor for choosing a hotel are the F & B options and TGHV is by far the best you can find here. Even the in-room dining option is a joyous interlude, befitting the Taj hallmark. While room service was prompt, housekeeping could be better. It seemed short-staffed. Same for the bell desk. One missed the little conveniences like the shoeshine cloth, sewing kit and toothpaste. As luck would have it I needed all of that the same morning was put off at not finding it. The dysfunctional Wi-Fi was also annoying but forced me to take the only other option, i.e. sleep early, and the beds are tops.

The hotel ambience is lavishingly warm and cool. Spiced up by its sumptuous food and well mannered staff,makes the GateWay Hotel leave a mark of the Taj brand.
