We took a blind call and made the reservation late in the night. Morning of 16th April, we were on our way to the Fort from Delhi. After few directions we took, we reached the place rather comfortably considering our previous bad experience with UP roads and traffic. The property itself was to our utmost liking and expectation. It was combination of simplicity, basic comforts and serenity. Rooms were spacious and were clean with optimum A/C. Food which was served in the Royal Kitchen was excellent. The attendants were very courteous and eager to serve. Bullock cart ride and trip to village for hands on pottery were good fun for kids. Best part was evening visit to Ganga and chance to view fresh water dolphins from a close quarter. Another great experience was a small swimming pool in royal orchard. Next day we had to start early in the morning. We left the place with a promise to come back and enjoy a longer stay and try activities which we missed like horse riding, golf, etc.

The rooms could have more amenities for the price being charged; also the quality of food and desserts can be better. The courtesy and warmth extended by the hotel staff is appreciated and so are the beautiful arrangements made in the evening. The directions and road into Fort Unchagaon are difficult to comprehend from what is provided in the papers. A better description and more road markers starting from the highway would greatly help.

The hotel is a decent place for a weekend stay.
