The Den, Corbett, Corbett

The Den is located at Kumeria Reserve Forest at Mohan in Corbett, about 29 kilometres away from the Ramnagar railway station on the road north to Ranikhet, 9 kilometres beyond the Dhangarhi gate in the state of Uttranchal.

The Den is enclosed in the Corbett Forest Reserve next to the Kosi River and is spread over a vast expanse of lush green vegetation. The reception cum lobby is decorated in a wooden decor and has a life size wooden lamp in the centre. One side of the lobby overlooking the lawns has glass windows allowing the bright sun to pour in. The lobby is lined with low lying wooden chairs and tables and the reception is located right opposite it.

Hotel Facilities
The hotel has beautiful lawns for the guests to relax. For the adventurous lot, the hotel organises for bird watching tours, bonfire, elephant safari, jungle safari to see wild life, cultural performances, cycling, trekking, camping, nature walks, and village visit and river activities. Other services in the hotel include a swimming pool, spa, souvenir shop, library, laundry service, housekeeping service, internet access, car parking area and travel assistance. In addition, it makes available sports activities, such as volleyball, table tennis, lawn tennis and cricket.

Please note: It is always advisable to book safaris prior to arrival, especially during weekends as there are only 60 vehicles allowed inside the National Park at a time. Depending on the no. of guests, the estimated cost of safari vehicles will be between Rs 2600- Rs 3000. Guests can directly contact the hotels and book their safaris.

Room Amenities
The resort offers fully furnished wood-panelled stone cottages in a leafy mango orchard with attached baths. The hotel offers Standard and Duplex rooms with stone walls and a jungle decor. The rooms are environment friendly, and since the resort is located within the Forest Reserve, the rooms do not have televisions. However, amenities like intercom, study table and seating area is available. The Duplex room has a stair leading to the second bedroom furnished with a bed and two sofa chairs. Almost all the rooms have a stone wall and tiger/leopard printed furnishing/linen. The bathroom has a shower area with hot and cold water supply.

Dining
The resort has a multi cuisine restaurant offering a wide range of Indian, Chinese and Continental food. The restaurant is semi circular and has stone walls. The restaurant is homely with wood and cane sofas spread evenly all over the place. There is a buffet counter on one side of the restaurant.
