Hotel Cottage Reviews, Mumbai

The hotel is located very near Chembur station. The room I stayed in was a single bed room. It was well lit, well maintained. The bathroom was also clean and well maintained. The housekeeping is done everyday. All in all I highly recommend this place.

The hotel seems to be below par in all respects except it's location being very close to the Chembur station. I did book a deluxe large hotel for a day and was horrified to find the condition of the room /bath and the attitude of the person at the reception. Within half an hour of my checking in, I moved to a hotel in the vicinity, forgoing the entire money I paid for the day. This bad experience was after having enjoyable experiences at 2 hotels arranged by makemytrip.com a couple of days before.

Located on a busy narrow road near Railway Station Chembur, the Cottage is on the first floor of an old large bungalow building. The reception is kindly, service is friendly and efficient, the free wi-fi is thoughtful (although the thick walls don't help). The bathroom is a bit cramped, the television is fine, as is the airconditioning and refrigeration. The road has many small restaurants for breakfast and meals; transportation is fine, with the taxi-stand right outside the hotel. Located in Chembur, and with Mumbai's miscalculated traffic being what it is, consider The Cottage if your business is close to the Chembur area. I had to travel to the Bandra Kurla Complex daily and despite being a "stone's throw" as the crow flies, it would take me 1 hour each way.
