The hotel is 12 kms from the Ramnagar Railway station, 7 kms from the Bijrani Gate of the Tiger Reserve and 15 kms from the Jhirna Gate.

Entering this 9.5 acres large resort is like stepping into a haven of nature, with an added sprig of wildlife. The walls of the lobby are rough and white washed with wildlife memorabilia adorning the walls. The decor is all dark wood and gray stone and charming anecdotes about wild animals are strategically placed around. Look further and the resort spreads out amidst the shade of trees so thick, the sunlight is checkered with dark green and long shadows spread across the foliage. Amidst all this greenery, red and ochre cottages stand flanking the pebble strewn pathways.

Hotel Facilities
The resort arranges for jungle safaris, you only need to show them a valid id and their Safari Desk will take care of all arrangements. The resort has wood paneled lounge overlooking the river with cushy couches and shelves of books. The peanut shaped swimming pool is thoroughly inviting and has a smaller kiddy pool adjacent to it. Deck chairs surround the area. The resort also has an Ayurvedic health spa called Sansha. It's beautifully done up in gold and beige and offers relaxing remedies. The conference hall can accommodate 150 guests in U-shape seating and 100 guests in theatre style. Outside the Tusker's Bar, the resort organises bon fires, folk dances and wildlife slide shows for guests. River rafting is organised from July to September. Other facilities that the hotel has to offer include doctor on call, car parking and laundry service.

Room Amenities
The resort has 52 air conditioned rooms divided into Superior and Deluxe rooms, which are further categorised. Each room is stand alone with its private, shaded sit-out porch. The Family Superior room is done tastefully in subtle shades of khaki and cream. It comprises a bed room, a living room, a lobby and a separate children's room. Amenities include telephone, tea/coffee maker, dresser with a large mirror and two complimentary bottles of mineral water. The Superior room is done in gold and maroon with the same facilities, but it comprises only a living room and a bedroom. The Deluxe Cottages are similar in amenities to the Superior rooms, only smaller and without the separate living room. All rooms have en suite washrooms which are spacious and clean, done in dramatic colours, with shower, geyser and herbal bath products.

Dining
The hotel has an interesting array of wine-and-dine options to choose from. Jim's Grill House is a thatch-roof, round, canopied area with wooden benches. The restaurant specialises in all things grilled and barbecued, serving a primarily Continental cuisine. Try the grilled lemon fish here. The Tusker's Bar lies adjacent to the grill house, with granite flooring, tree trunk tables and antique lamps suspended from the ceilings. The walls have elephants (what else!) painted on them and the rest of the space has large all glass windows looking out at dense groves of palm trees. It's a lovely place to unwind at.

Gurney House is the multi cuisine restaurant that serves only buffet meals. The restaurant has a high, wooden beam ceiling supported large pillars and quaint fans are suspended from it. The walls have dramatic pictures of the surrounding mountains painted on them, as if taking inspiration from the view seen from the outside seating area. This part is shaded with trees and looks out at hills and mountains, with the valley spread down below, the Kosi bouncing across it. The restaurant can organise theme dinners here on request.
