The Ashok Beach Resort Reviews, Pondicherry

The resort is strategically located nearby serene beach. It is a nice place to relax for the day or two. You can spend your entire day with lot of activity available at resort and best place for children to enjoy lush green lawn, play areas and water sport.

Chosen for its location the choice proved right. The exhilarating experience of stay in itself is temptation enough for a re-visit.

We booked the hotel on noting that it was 4 star rated, but the reality is far from it. There was no valet parking, the lawns were very badly maintained, the lavatory flush was not working, the shower dispensed water only in trickles and the room was dusty, the sheets on the bed were old, the so called private beach was not maintained, the tennis court is in ruins and the TV was not working half the time. A miserable experience in a so called 4 star resort. This places is in shambles.

This hotel is at an excellent location and the room balconies facing the beach. Room conditions are excellent. Also, nice bar. Food quality and service needs improvement and if improved, is one of the best places to enjoy and relax during a holiday.

We booked this hotel thinking it was a 4 star and hence would have a certain standard. We were sadly disappointed as we would not rate it more than a 3 star hotel. Rooms and washrooms need to be upgraded. The lawns could have more seating facility and the beach in front needs to be kept clean and seating provided. The location was great but so much scope for improvement.
