The resort is located 4 kilometres from Chail. It is located 51 kilometres from Shimla and is perched on a mountain top amidst blue skies and lush greenery.

Tarika's Jungle Retreat is a delightful surprise in the mountains, four kilometres from Chail. It is located away from the clutches of civilization and forms its own comfortable abode amidst the trees, skies and birds. With unique and interesting forms of architecture, this property conforms to unconventionalities. It was started in 2005 and spreads over 10 acres of land.

Lobby
From the gate into the premises of this huge property to the hotel's lobby encased in a glass dome, the drive consists of a beautiful 1.5 kilometre long stretch. The unique architecture on this property consists of glass cottages in a spherical shape which is home to rooms and the lobby. The lobby sports tiled flooring along with a smart glass and wooden reception table. Plants dot the entire space along with seating arrangements consisting of wooden, shell - shaped chairs and coffee tables. A grandfather clock, life size reindeer and other little knick knacks also occupy the space. The predominant theme is, of course, the jungle.

Facilities and Services
This hotel provides a comprehensive list of services and facilities, almost like a city within the premises. The services provided include a 24 hour multi cuisine restaurant, a bar, open gardens and terraces, conferencing facilities, Vansh Playdium Area which is a children's play area with a pool table, tennis table, air hockey, television & video games, gymnasium, spa, souvenir shop, amphitheatre, gazebos throughout the property, cyber cafe, coffee shop, basketball court, cricket, badminton court and golf carts to map the vast property in a fun manner.

Room Amenities
The hotel has a total of 8 categories of rooms & cottages which total out to 65 in number. The rooms are categorised as 11 Superior rooms/cottages, 10 Premium rooms, 15 Lord's Nest Cottages, 14 Snow Crust Cottages, 4 Log Huts, 3 Suites, 6 Premium Cottages, 1 Honeymoon Cottage and 1 Paradise room. The facilities common to all the rooms are an LCD cable television, direct dial SDT/ISD telephone, tea/coffee maker, heater on request, fruit basket, 2 bottles of mineral water, coat hanger, 24 hours hot & cold running water, toiletries and a toilet case. Guests can also request for DVD players and choose from a list of in house DVD's. The Paradise room is the hotel's highest category room with scores of wood detailing on the floors, walls and ceiling. These cottages have a private porch with a stone paved path and cane tables & chairs. There is also a separate drawing room with very smart and comfortable white leather sofas and an LCD television. The attached bedroom has another television mounted on the wall along with a smart coat hanger and the washroom exudes a luxurious charm with all toiletries and a large Jacuzzi. The Honeymoon Cottage is encased in a glass cottage and offers soothing art deco with elaborate lamps and low rise seating spaces. All the glass cottages have air conditioners. The rooms range from basic to massively luxurious and prove to be extremely delightful spaces.

Dining
Jungal Me Mangal is the hotel's 24 hour multi cuisine restaurant. It is a bright space with attention to detail and fun interiors. It operates at fixed timings for breakfast (8:00 am to 10:00 am), lunch (2:00 pm to 3:30 pm) and dinner (9:00 pm to 10:30 pm). High tea is also served from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm for snacks and refreshments. When the occupancy is high, the guests are treated with buffets as well as a la carte menus. Knoxes Bar is the quaint bar which opens up into the terrace with glass doors. It is open from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm. There is a television here and blue tiled flooring offers a cool feel to the interiors. Aroma is the hotel's coffee shop which is only functional during the peak season. It is located beside the coffee shop and is open from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm.

Banquets & Conferences
The hotel offers a mini conference hall named Mehfil which can accommodate 50 - 60 persons. There is another larger conference hall called Durbar that can accommodate around 170 people. All conferencing equipment is supplied along with renting the halls. Audio visual equipment, pads, pens, etc are supplied at an extra charge. There is also a cyber cafe with 9 computers equipped with internet connections and printers.
