One staff for all the hotel rooms, slow service

Silver Oak Mountain Resort is an excellent place to be in if you are looking for a calm and peaceful holiday, away from the buzz of city or even a crowded bazaar. Located in a tea estate, with no major buildings around, rooms at Silver Oak give you a great view of the snow capped Dhauladhar hills. The one draw back - there are no balconies. I wish they had put on balconies to the rooms - that would have enhanced the pleasure of the stay. At first look, the rooms appear to be oddly shaped. But only when you draw back the curtains does one realize that the odd shape has been made deliberately to give better views of the mountains. The food cooked at the resort is simple, yet very fresh and tasty. One has to place the order for the food in advance, but it was so reassuring to get hot piping fresh food that tasted so great. The owner of the place Flt. Lt. (Retd.) Bhasin, is a charming gentleman who could keep you enthralled for hours. All in all, a great place.
