Sea Shell Resort - Havelock Reviews, Havelock

The location is excellent, close to the market, on the main route of transportation. The room given to us was initially not good because the room allotted to us was next to the septic tank and the stink of the septic tank was coming into the toilet (room # 108), though our request for changing the room was heard the next morning but initially rejected by the lady at the reception. There are no room services at all. We were told there is no hot water facility but later learnt that water was being provided to some on request.

The location is wonderful, and perhaps the only saving grace. The place has frequent powercuts, however, no backups (they gave a lame excuse of faulty batteries). They didnt provide any candles till I had to pick on an argument. food quality was pathetic and no value for money, So was their service (Buffet vessels has no spirit lamps to keep them warm. Depending on your luck and time, you may get warm food). they had so many flies around the dining area, and inspite of having those fly-flash machines, they didnt keep them on. The first evening (by around 9:30 PM), I asked them if they had a beer and the response was 'sir ladke log chale gaye, nahin milegaaa'. Overall, they seemed to be trying their best to squeeze in every bit of proffit by denying basics of hospitality. Like I mentioned before, havelock in itself is a beatiful city that these things didnt cause much dampness to my trip. However, I wont recommend this place unless they are willing to improve.
