A business district, Nariman Point, named after Khurshid Framji Nariman, is the southern most tip of Marine Drive. Business firms such as Air India, Central Bank of India, Indian Express, Mittal Towers and the Oberoi Hotel are situated here.
This beach located along Juhu Road is famous for the Chowpatty, a heavenly corner for food junkies. A favourite with children and adults alike, it has an amusement park, play ground and an open air restaurant. Camel rides further add to the charm.
A large part of south Mumbai is known as Fort because of the strong impression of the colonial British architecture in the area.
The Mahalakshmi Temple was built in 1785 in honour of deity Mahalakshmi, the goddess of wealth. The temple is located at one end of Breach Candy, now known as Bhulabhai Desai Road.
