Rhenock House Reviews, Gangtok

I had selected this hotel as it was one of the highest price, with an expectation of good view and location. The hotel is located on a relatively shady area/road. The room given to me had no view, and I was told that make-my-trip has selected only such rooms. Dinner was good but it took around 90 mins. They do not serve lunch and the nearest restaurant is around 5 KM away. Overall it was a bit disappointment. Makemytrip had written to me that my package included breakfast, but initially hotel refused to honour it. Only after arguement, they agreed to it. The rooms did not had some of the basic things like towels or cups or water, which I had to ask. The staff were friendly.

This hotel is little away from the centre of the site but you wonÂ’t face any problem in communication. ItÂ’s on a small hillock. View from garden and first floor room is awesome. The owner of this property is a nice person. Food is average at this place. Make contact with them before hand and opt for the first floor view facing rooms or they may dump you in a ground floor room which has no view and has lot of noise.

The hotel is away from the city centre bustle but still within easy reach. There is a very warm, hospitable feel about it, with just ten rooms, and the owner and his family living in his own bungalow on the same estate.

The hotel is not so much in a commercial area, so has a good feel to it and has nice rooms of a good size. The staff is friendly and the food is tasty too.

Hotel is good only if you compare the same from Gangtok's other hotels. But services of the hotel is really good. Only thing that can be better is food. In fact, food is really a problem in Gangtok for all north Indians as Punjabi touch is really missing here. Overall, hotel is recommended but it's not worth spending 2800/- per night.

Excellent in all respects. Amongst the best that I have used.

Hotel is very good. Hotel staff is very cooperative and treated us very well. We feel like home in Rhenock House.
