Quality Inn River Country Resort Reviews, Manali

I stayed at the hotel with my wife for 3 nights and 4 days and overall we had a pleasant time. The hotel claims its location, overlooking the river, as its USP however the effect diluted by the ugly huts that have cropped up in front of the hotel. Its around 2 kms before the mall road and bus stand and the route is pretty steep making hiring a taxi necessary. The facade of the hotel is sedate and the lobby area is hardly much to write home about. However there is a quaint coffee shop just adjoining the lobby ideal for unwinding in the evening after a tiring day. The rates are quite high though. We had booked the super deluxe room and we got a fantastic view of the hills and the river from the window. The TV in the room was an old CRT model with malfunctioning remote. The wood work in the rooms was peeling off at some places and the backrest of the bed and side table had pretty sharp edges. Howeever the food was absolutely great and the open air dinner with live music was magical.

The food was not good. The hotel staff (manager) was on leave. The in-charge was not responsive. I heard rats making noise and was not able to sleep properly. No peace of mind. Requested another room and was not shifted. Waste of money.

Hotel was good except the front office staff which seemed indifferent, maybe because they were running to packed house they didn't care much.

Rooms are spacious, modern and well decorated. The only issue was the location of the property which was on the road and not enticing at all. Hotel property doesn't have a good size lawn just a small one. Overall the interior and the service was very good.

Before booking I went through all the reviews of this hotel available on MakeMyTrip.com and it gives me immense pleasure to say that it was worth reading the reviews and then deciding to book the hotel. Everything was good incluing hotel staff, food, etc.

The quality of service was excellent. I was satisfied as the hotel service reflects the best quality and i believe the hotel management are honestly maintaining the name Quality Inn by their quality service. Keep it up........ :-)

The best part of the hotel is its location, which is a short walk from the main market. Being away from the commotion of the market, yet so close to it, made our stay really memorable. Besides this, the food, services and other facilities were well maintained. I will definitely go back to the hotel every time IÂ’m in Manali.

The hotel exudes a classy ambience. The staff at the reception is friendly and efficient. The rooms are beautiful with an excellent view. The services are prompt. All our requests were met with full competency at any time of the day or night. Our stay here was complete value for money.

I had mentioned the same in the hotel feedback form on checkout. The locale of the hotel is great and so too is its ambience. But room service and housekeeping facilities have a lot of scope for improvement. The quality and the variety of the food is very limited. Linen was not changed despite requests. No newspaper was delivered. The room had an incorrect room service menu card. The room was not cleaned/mopped during our stay. Credit card machine was not working on checkout and I had to pay cash. Health/SPA team could not give us an appointment. The mini bar was not filled in the room. All in all, while we enjoyed the place where we stayed, the service was the factor which differentiated the best from the very ordinary ones, like this one.

It's a nice place to stay in but the food quality should improve with fresh vegetables etc.
