Hotel Park View is located conveniently on the Valluvar Kottam High Road opposite the Independence Day Park. The hotel has a modest 4 storied building with a small portico, entrance and lobby. The rooms are standard and clean - though a bit small if you are going with kids. Service is normal and slightly on the slower side. Reception staff was helpful and courteous. Check-out time is 24 hours. The hotel has a coffee shop on the 4th floor and a pub at the basement. Most of the crowd seemed to be singles/business people.

Good location in Nungambakkam area. Decent rooms with air-conditioner and television. Small restaurant with simple but tasty breakfast. Value for money for business travellers. Will go back.

Room service is virtually does not exist. Staff was polite though. Morning complimentary breakfast was tasty. AC was not working and had to change the room after much hassle. Location is good and car parking was available, though not neat and easily accessible. Would not stay again as the setup looked a bit unprofessional.

Facilities could be a lot better. For example, there was neither soap nor towel. I had to ask twice for the soap. Secondly, hot water was non existent and it was at best lukewarm and the staff made no effort to fix it. Finally, I asked reception for a wake up call and I did not get one! The only reason I chose this was the proximity to the US Consulate but it given the price (around Rs. 1900), the service could have been better.

The thing that goes in favor of this hotel is its location. If you are a budget-conscious business traveller then certainly this is the right hotel for you. The hotel seems to have fallen on hard times. Though the rooms were neat and clean, general upkeep was bad. Rooms have not been repainted in a long time, switches and knobs were broken or missing. So if you only need a place to crash at for a night or two and are not looking for any kind of luxury (except the AC, which works fine) you can give this place a try. There are lots of budget eating joints and grocery stores in the vicinity. Access to buses and autos is also not a problem. And the place claims to have a pub in the basement. Pros: - relatively cheap - close to business and tourist points Cons: - The hotel has not invested in general upkeep in a long long time.

Very noisy place with a pub in the basement and a party hall on every floor. Heavy music was being played until quite late in the night. Will not go back.

A very good offer for this price. The resturant and bar is not that great. Hot water facility available on request only. Overall fine hotel for this price.

This hotel had an pest problem. After having killed 3 cockroach, decided to leave. The receptionist did not even question why we left within 2 hours. Getting taxi was also a mission, but eventually escaped and cut our losses. Would not recommend.
