Air: The nearest airport is in Coimbatore, 88 km away. Regular flights operate from Bangalore, Cochin and Chennai to Coimbatore.

Rail: The Ooty railway station is merely 2 km from the City Center and the other railway station is 46 km away at Mettupalayam. There is also a toy train that connects Ooty with Mettupalayam and Coonoor.

Road: Regular buses ply between Ooty and major destinations such as Mysore (90 km) and Bangalore (240 km). On to the Ooty - Mysore Road, turn right about one km after HPF (at the village) towards the Kalahatti (Segur Ghat) Road, which is also the Ooty - Mysore 'shortcut'. Approximately 5 km after you pass Chamanatha Village, turn left onto the metalled road. Drive on for 6 km and you will reach Jungle Retreat.
