Doddabetta is the highest peak in the Nilgiris at 2623 m and is about 10 km from Ooty. It lies at the junction of the Western & Eastern Ghats and offer beautiful vistas of the Nilgiri Hill ranges.
Charring Cross Market in Ooty is one of the hill stations most popular locations, and a great attraction for tourists and locals alike. A beautiful fountain was erected here 1886, in memory of Governor Adam.
