Lemon Tree Amarante Beach Resort Reviews, Goa

Fell in love with Lemon Tree Amarante Beach Resort. Impeccably maintained, very efficient and friendly/courteous staff. The resort is tastefully designed, like a boutique property. Room was lovely and had all the creature comforts one would like. And yes, the food is great.

Hotel is nice and beautiful with good landscaping. But the name is misleading since it is not on the beach. Service is good. But a lot of smile on part of the staff would make it a great place. Overall a good value for money.

You should have more small spaces to sit and hang around other than the pool. The Plaza rooms we stayed in had no view or space to sit around. So it was a disappointment. We had one lunch and 3 buffet breakfasts. The choice was wide but the taste and quality of food in Citrus was very good in some cases (excellent eggs) and some very bad (lumpy, taste beef stew, bland chutney pudi).

Lemon Tree Amarante is a compact resort, hardly a 5 min walk from the beach (you have to walk another 10 min to get to a spot that's safe to play around in). The rooms (Plaza/Pavilion) are quite nice. Service from every dept - reception, room service, housekeeping, maintenance and the restaurants is excellent - some 5-star hotels can take a leaf out of their book! Two things I felt ought to be rectified the next time management takes up renovation. For a beach resort, it allows absolutely no space to dry out swimwear or beachwear. The single line in the bathroom is hardly 2' long and thus insufficient. The other is the placement of the door stoppers in the rooms and bathrooms - it's somewhat in the middle and more than one member of my family tripped on these. They need to get rid of this hazard. One last thing - many of the 'jokes' on the table mats at citrus are adults-only. It can get awkward if a child reads these and begins to ask questions. Overall - we had a great stay.

We had our initial hotel booking cancelled due to poor ambience and not so impressive reception at some other hotel. We dialed Lemon Tree, and on initial conversation with reception, I got the feeling that this won't disappoint us. I got all the info regarding, location, places to visit near by, room as per my requirement and budget. After arrival, everything was just perfect. be it reception, check in, room, amenities and services. I loved the breakfast buffet which was complimentary. Will also like to comment on hotel's proximity to beach and other happening places. Also, I got option of 4 tour packages to roam around Goa. Over all, it was my first Goa trip and I had a nice experience with Lemon Tree. Will surely recommend and revisit this hotel.

Stayed there for 3 days, excellent experience. Will recommend it to everyone. Centrally located. Excellent ambiance, Very friendly staff.

The only glitch was, we had to wait for more than an hour to get the room, but during checking out they promptly charged an amount for late checkout.

Go for it ! Good value for money, exceeded expectations. Only the approach to the beach is a bit shabby, may be the hotel should volunteer and clean the route to the beach once in a while as a social service.
